The expansion strengthens Hilton’s position in the fast-growing Asia Pacific region, where it aims to exceed ,000 operational hotels by 2025.

Hilton currently has more than 100 hotels already trading or under development in Southeast Asia.

Hilton is optimistic about Southeast Asia’s long-term prospects due to factors such as a rising middle class, strong domestic travel and the return of business events and entertainment following pandemic closures.

The region’s economic strength is another positive indicator, with a projected annual growth rate of between 4.6% and 4.8% until 2029.

The expansion follows several successful openings for Hilton in Southeast Asia, including the first Curio Collection by Hilton property in Vietnam (La Festa Phu Quoc) and the debut of Hilton’s flagship brand in Ho Chi Minh City (Hilton Saigon).

The company is also catering to the region’s growing luxury travel market.

Recent additions include Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Singapore’s second Conrad Hotels & Resorts (Conrad Singapore Orchard).

Upcoming projects include iconic Waldorf Astoria hotels in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi.

Hilton has a current development pipeline of 3,380 hotels globally, 60% of which will be located outside the US.
