Hilton has unveiled plans to debut its premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in Austria with the opening of two new properties in Vienna.

The Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt and Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater hotels are set to welcome guests later this year.

The Spark by Hilton Vienna Donaustadt will feature 198 rooms and is located in Vienna’s commercial hub, the Donaustadt district.

Meanwhile, the 243-room Spark by Hilton Vienna Messe Prater will be conveniently situated within walking distance of the Vienna Exhibition Hall and the Danube River.

Both hotels will offer Spark by Hilton’s signature amenities such as multi-purpose work surfaces, and bathrooms equipped with Zero% bathroom amenities.

The hotels will include a Hydration Cart with complimentary still and sparkling water, alongside fresh fruit.

For travellers on the move, a 24-hour retail market will be available, providing an array of food, drinks, and essentials at any time of the day.

Hilton EMEA development senior vice-president Patrick Fitzgibbon said: “We’re thrilled to bring the Spark by Hilton brand to Vienna, meeting demand for premium economy accommodation in this highly popular destination for both business and leisure travellers.

“Our Spark by Hilton properties are ideal for guests looking to maximise the value of their travel budget while experiencing the reliable and friendly service our hotels are known for across the globe.

“This collaboration with Verkehrsbuero Hospitality marks a key milestone for Spark by Hilton as the momentum behind the brand continues, with nearly 250 Spark hotels already trading or under development worldwide following its launch just 18 months ago.”

The new Spark by Hilton hotels will join seven other Hilton properties in Austria, including DoubleTree by Hilton Vienna Schonbrunn and Hilton Garden Inn Wiener Neustadt.

Last month, Hilton and JM Hospitality announced the foray of the Spark by Hilton brand into Canada with the opening of Spark by Hilton Toronto Markham.
