Hilton’s luxury hotel brand Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is set to debut in Australia with its first property to open in Sydney.
The 28-floor luxury hotel marks the brand’s expansion in Australasia.
Besides, the hotel will join the existing six Waldorf Astoria hotels in the Asia Pacific region.
The company has already begun construction work on the 220-key hotel, which is expected to open in 2025.

By GlobalDataThe new luxury hotel is a part of Australia-based investment and development firm AW Holding Group’s One Circular Quay mixed-use development plan.
Located in Sydney’s harbour One Circular Quay, the hotel will offer views of the city’s Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Hilton Asia and Australasia development senior vice-president Guy Phillips said: “Hilton is thrilled to partner with AW One Circular Quay for the entry of the Waldorf Astoria brand into Australasia, which marks a significant milestone in the growth of our luxury portfolio.
“The introduction of Waldorf Astoria to Sydney underscores our development strategy of organically bringing our world-class brands to discerning travellers in key global markets.”
Waldorf Astoria Sydney will have 41 suites, 179 guest rooms along with public spaces and a spa on level one.
It will be designed by Sydney-based Crone Architects and Tokyo-based firm, Kengo Kuma & Associates.
The hotel will also feature two original concept restaurants and a rooftop bar.
The brand has a portfolio of above 30 operating hotels, with 20 additional properties in the pipeline across the world.
