Mews has announced its acquisition of Nomi, a Nashville-based hospitality startup, to aid hoteliers in providing a hyper-personalised experience for guests.
Founded in 2021, the Nomi team has developed a local tour guide for travellers, using predictive analytics and AI to respond to recommendation requests while considering the personality type of each user and their unique preferences, interests and needs.
For hotels, Nomi aims to deliver real-time customer insights to support data-informed operational decisions.
AI and machine learning can be used in multiple ways in the hospitality industry, including in search engines, revenue optimisation systems, demand forecasting and enhancing guest experiences.
The acquisition was managed by Mews Ventures, the company’s venture and investment arm which was launched to accelerate the technological transformation of the hospitality industry.
The Nomi acquisition is the seventh for Mews Ventures, with previously acquired companies including Cenium and Bizzon in 2022 and Hotello in 2023.
