A US-based privately held hospitality company has entered an agreement with Knightscope, to ensure safer stays for guests using the latter’s robotics and artificial intelligence technologies.
This agreement will see the deployment of Knightscope’s K5 autonomous security robots (ASRs) and risk and threat exposure (RTX) analyst services at hotel properties in Houston, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia.
The hospitality company operates a chain of mid-scale, limited-service hotels across 26 states at more than 150 sites.
The K5 ASRs will be responsible for patrolling the parking areas of the selected hotels.
These robots use sensors and proprietary AI software to alert RTX analysts to potential threats, enabling a swift response when assistance is needed.
They are also said to offer interactive guest experience featuring hotel-specific graphics and a customisable voice for audio broadcasts, enhancing access to emergency services.
