Hotel Indigo, a boutique hotel brand under IHG Hotels and Resorts, has opened a new property in downtown Minneapolis, US.
Hotel Indigo Minneapolis Downtown features 218 guest rooms and offers amenities, such as a fitness centre, a business centre and a marketplace in the lobby.
The hotel is situated in the original NorthStar Centre, constructed in the 1960s and near the neighbourhood’s theatres and music venues, such as State Theatre and The Armoury, as well as other popular attractions, such as Loring Park, The Walker’s Sculpture Garden and US Bank Stadium.
Hotel Indigo vice-president Carol Hoeller said: “The Hotel Indigo brand has experienced strong global growth momentum over the last year and this opening marks another exciting milestone for the fast-growing brand.
“Minneapolis has been beckoning visitors for decades with its community of vibrant music, entertainment and culinary scenes, all of which have been thoughtfully woven into the experience at Hotel Indigo Minneapolis Downtown.”
US-based property management company Great Lakes Management Group owns the property.

The Hotel Indigo brand will also feature several dining options. Star Bar and Bistro by local restaurateur Kim Bartmann serves an inviting menu with a French flair. Dishes are prepared by local vendors, such as Peterson Craftsman Meat, DragSmith Farms and Larry Schultz Organic Farm.
