A collaboration between Hyatt Hotels and Princes Gates Hotel Limited Partnership has revealed that Hotel X Toronto has become a part of the Destination by Hyatt brand.
This move signifies the brand’s debut in the Canadian market.
The integration into Hyatt’s Classics collection represents a significant development for the property, enhancing its position in Toronto.
Over the past decade, Hyatt has significantly expanded its footprint in Canada, multiplying its presence fivefold and reaffirming its dedication to growth within this geographic area.
Situated on the shores of Lake Ontario, the 404-key hotel offers an urban resort experience.
Hotel X Toronto managing director Fariyal Hasham said: “Hotel X Toronto was designed to be more than a hotel – it is an experience that blends wellness, culture, and recreation.
“Joining Destination by Hyatt allows us to stay true to our unique vision while tapping into Hyatt’s global reach, connecting travellers from around the world to our sophisticated urban resort.”
Guests can explore a year-round heated rooftop pool with views, the first Guerlain Spa in Canada, and the 90,000ft² athletic club 10XTO, featuring tennis and squash courts, along with fitness studios.
The hotel boasts a curated art gallery, a 250-seat cinema, a private screening room, a variety of dining options and 60,000ft² in flexible event spaces.
Hyatt Canada development and owner relations vice-president Scott Richer said: “Hotel X Toronto embodies the spirit of the Destination by Hyatt brand by offering exceptional resort-style experiences, which capture the essence of Toronto.
“We’re looking forward to continuing to grow Hyatt’s brand presence in Canada and expand our classics portfolio in exciting new locations that our guests and 54 million World of Hyatt members expect.”
In February 2024, Hyatt Hotels and Wellington Estates unveiled plans for the Cas en Bas Beach Resort in the Caribbean, marking the debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand in that region.
