Hyatt Hotels has revealed a partnership between a Hyatt affiliate and City Hotel to convert and rebrand Hyatt Place Kathmandu in Nepal.
The property will be transformed into the new Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu upon the completion of the renovation.
It will mark the entry of a full-service Hyatt Centric brand into the country.
The overhaul will include a redesigned entrance and lobby, a sky bar and lounge, along with upgraded amenities.
Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu, located near Kathmandu city centre, will cater to savvy explorers seeking local experiences.
It will also provide guests access to nearby pilgrimage sites and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

These properties target millennial-minded travellers.
Hyatt’s India and South-West Asia portfolio includes 47 properties with 45 in India and two in Nepal, across eight diverse brands.
These brands comprise Andaz, Hyatt, Hyatt Centric, Alila, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, and Park Hyatt.
