Hyatt Hotels has opened its first Hyatt hotel in Algeria, called Hyatt Regency Algiers Airport.
The hotel, which is operated under a management agreement with Société d’Investissement Hôtelière EPE SPA, adds to Hyatt’s growing brand presence across Africa.
It joins Hyatt’s current seven properties in Africa including Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay and Hyatt Regency Casablanca in Morocco, Park Hyatt Zanzibar and Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Hyatt Regency Johannesburg in South Africa and the recently opened, Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
Situated at Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers, Algeria, the 320-room hotel is in close proximity to the newest terminal, and is claimed to be the only hotel linked to the terminal.
The hotel’s general manager Pascal Leprou said: “Algeria is a commercial hub in Africa, and we’re excited to see the Hyatt Regency brand enter the market with the opening of the hotel.
“With a variety of well-designed work and social spaces, our busy guests can easily stay productive while traveling. We anticipate a strong reception of the property, from both the region as well as international travelers.”
