Hyatt Hotels has expanded its portfolio across Mainz, Germany, with the opening of Brunfels Hotel, its third property in the city.
The property joins The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, expanding the company’s portfolio across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Hyatt Independent Collection brands global brand leader and vice president Katie Johnson said: “Expanding The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand with a second opening in Germany highlights our commitment to delivering story-worthy experiences within our distinct Independent Collection portfolio.”
Designed to blend 21st-century aesthetics with retro chic accents, the five-storey hotel offers 127 rooms and integrates technology with features such as air heat pumps for climate control and digital check-in services.
The hotel also partners with regional producers, including craft brewer Kuehn Kunz Rosen, Edelranz Gin distillery, and Müller roastery.
Brunfels Hotel’s general manager Holger Hanselmann said: “Brunfels Hotel is a terrific addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand, combining the magnificent heritage of Mainz with a twist of modern glamour.

The opening of Brunfels Hotel follows closely on the heels of Hyatt’s recent expansion in France with the introduction of Hyatt Place Rouen.
