Hospitality major Hyatt has bolstered its presence in Japan by opening its first Hyatt House-branded property in Tokyo.
Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya follows the debut of Hyatt House Kanazawa and marks the 20th Hyatt hotel in the country.
The new hotel is part of Shibuya Sakura Stage, a new two-tower complex by Tokyu Land Corporation.
Tokyu Land Corporation Wellness Promotion Unit executive officer Tatsuaki Tanaka said: “Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya will open today in Shibuya Sakura Stage, the final piece in the redevelopment of central Shibuya.
“This multifaceted complex will not only be the only residential building in central Shibuya but will also house offices for 10,000 people and commercial facilities offering diverse new experiences. It will even have a vibrant green plaza unique to the area.”
It features 126 apartment-style guestrooms, starting from 344ft², including 18 suites, suitable for both short and extended stays.
