
The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has debuted its Vivanta hotel and opened its fourth Ginger brand hotel in the Indian city of Ahmedabad.
Vivanta Ahmedabad SG Highway features 176 rooms and suites, a lobby and boasts of range of culinary offering.
Dining venues at Vivanta Ahmedabad SG Highway includes an all-day diner Mynt that provides both international and Gujarati favourites, and Indus, which serves specialties from the northwest frontier region.
Swirl offers desserts and selection of coffees and teas from around the world.
The hotel features 540m2 flexible banqueting space, a fitness centre and outdoor pool.
Vivanta Ahmedabad SG Highway is a short drive away from the airport and major city landmarks.
IHCL executive vice president Deepika Rao said: “The opening of this hotel is in line with IHCL’s strategy of strengthening its presence in India’s key cities.
“Ahmedabad has emerged as an important economic and industrial centre, and we believe that it has tremendous business and tourism potential. We are delighted to launch Vivanta Ahmedabad SG Highway, making it a part of the city’s rapid evolution, in partnership with Leela Group of Companies.”
Meanwhile, the Ginger Ahmedabad, RTO Circle hotel is strategically located in a key commercial hub and features 111 rooms, including suites.
It features an all-day dining restaurant Qmin, a meeting room and fitness centre.
The property is conveniently accessible to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, the Mahatma Gandhi Ashram and many important business centres in the city.
The new hotels take IHCL’s portfolio in the Indian state of Gujarat to 19, including four under development.
