Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to bring Gateway brand hotel to the city of Rishikesh, also known as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’.

The 125-key Gateway Rishikesh Hotel is situated on a six-acre site with views of the Ganges River and is designed to cater to both leisure and meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) markets.

IHCL has partnered with hotelier Mahanand Sharma, who has holdings across Tehri, Rishikesh, and Narendra Nagar, for this project.

IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Rishikesh is witnessing growth in cultural and adventure tourism, driven by improving infrastructure and connectivity.

“With this signing, IHCL will grow its presence in the destination with the addition of the re-imagined Gateway brand. We are delighted to partner with Mahanand Sharma for this project.”

Serving as a gateway to Char Dham, Rishikesh is a blend of spirituality, wellness, and adventure, making it a choice for travellers seeking a diverse range of experiences.

The upcoming Gateway Rishikesh will feature a range of amenities, including an all-day diner, a speciality restaurant, a bar, a spa, a pool, and a gym.

It also boasts a banquet hall covering more than 8,000ft² to meet the growing demand for MICE facilities in the region.

The addition of the Gateway Rishikesh will expand IHCL’s presence in Uttarakhand to 16 hotels, including six that are currently under development.
