Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has bolstered its presence across Tamil Nadu, with the signing of a new Vivanta and Ginger hotel in Hosur.

These upcoming properties comprise the 150-key Vivanta and 200-key Ginger, which are set to be developed on a three-acre land parcel.

IHCL has partnered with Chona Megatainment Malls’ managing director EMC Palaniappan for these projects.

IHCL real estate and development executive vice-president Suma Venkatesh said: “Hosur, driven by regional economic growth and infrastructural development, is emerging as a prime commercial centre in Tamil Nadu.

“The signing of these two hotels near the Hosur industrial area will meet the increasing demand for corporate travel and MICE in this thriving micro-market. We are delighted to partner with Mr. Palaniappan for these projects.”

EMC Palaniappan said: “We are thrilled to collaborate with IHCL to bring Vivanta and Ginger brands to Hosur, offering a perfect mix of upscale and lean luxe hospitality experiences.”

The new Vivanta hotel will offer a variety of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, and a bar.

It will also provide access to a gym, a swimming pool, and banquet spaces designed to host business events and social gatherings.

The Ginger hotel will have a gym and meeting facilities.

With the addition of these hotels, IHCL’s footprint in Tamil Nadu will include 22 hotels, with six under development.

Earlier this month, IHCL signed a resort in Punjab to be part of the Gateway brand.

The new Gateway Barnala property will occupy nine acres and offer a low-rise design with 100 villas and rooms.

IHCL currently has 340 hotels, of which 112 are under development, across four continents, 13 countries, and in over 130 sites.
