India-based hospitality firm Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened a new hotel, Vivanta Katra, Vaishno Devi, in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
The new hotel, located on the Jammu-Katra highway, features 77 guestrooms and suites, including a 176m² Vivanta Suite.
The hotel also provides easy access to key pilgrimage destination Vaishno Devi temple.
Vivanta Katra Vaishno Devi hotel manager Kuldeep Sharma said: “Vivanta Katra will offer travellers an opportunity to experience the magic of Vaishno Devi.
“For leisure travellers, the hotel is the perfect getaway that combines the tranquil beauty of the destination with the thrill of adventure that one can experience in and around the hotel.”
The newly opened hotel includes various meeting rooms and outdoor spaces, suitable for social gatherings.

Other amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness centre and a Tattava Spa.
IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “The opening of this hotel is in line with IHCL’s strategy of expanding its presence across India’s vast spiritual circuit, and we are now present in 20 key destinations.

IHCL’s upscale hotel brand Vivanta has around 36 hotels, including ten properties under different development stages.
With the latest opening, IHCL now has a total of five hotels in Jammu and Kashmir, including three under different stages of development.
Earlier in May, IHCL signed a new Vivanta property in Maharashtra, India.
