Indian Hotel Company Limited’s (IHCL) premium homestay collection, amã Stays & Trails portfolio, has reached a milestone, now encompassing 203 bungalows, with an additional 97 under development.
This collection, which is designed to reflect the diverse local cultures and heritages, includes British colonial villas, Portuguese cottages, and homes with traditional Indian architecture.
IHCL New Businesses and Hotel Openings executive vice president Deepika Rao said: “Homestays is a fast-evolving segment in India’s hospitality landscape with the growing demand for experiential leisure travel.
“Our growth strategy has been two-fold, penetrating high-demand clusters like Goa and Maharashtra and building a footprint anchored around IHCL hotels to enable cross synergies and service excellence. The development of homestay villas is witnessing an infusion of fresh capital via green field projects reflective of growing investor confidence.”
The properties are located in more than 15 states across India, including Goa, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and more.
These include Nine Palms in Alibag, Eden Farms in Goa, Moonstone in Bhopal, and more.
