IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to enhance its presence in Spain with the signing of four new properties, collectively adding more than 500 rooms to its portfolio.
These agreements cover the company’s Luxury and Lifestyle, Premium, and Essentials collections.
The Luxury and Lifestyle collection will include the addition of Hotel Indigo in Jerez de la Frontera, anticipated to open in spring 2026.
This property, which will be the fifth Hotel Indigo in Spain, represents a partnership with Senator Hotels & Resorts.
The 82-room hotel will merge two independent buildings in Jerez’s city centre, featuring the brand’s signature neighbourhood design.
Hotel Indigo’s offerings will include a bar on the ground floor, a top-floor bar and restaurant, an external terrace, and a rooftop swimming pool.

By GlobalDataIn the Premium segment, IHG will introduce voco Granada, marking the company’s debut in Granada and the second voco property in Spain.
Set to open in spring 2026, the hotel which will feature 167 rooms and is IHG’s collaboration with Senator Hotels & Resorts.
The Essentials category will see the addition of Holiday Inn Express Seville – City and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sabadell.
Holiday Inn Express Seville – City, a 148-room converted hotel, is slated for a spring 2026 opening and will be the third property developed with Senator Hotels & Resorts.
It will offer various amenities including a fitness area and swimming pool.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sabadell is expected to join the IHG portfolio in late 2025, offering 130 rooms, including 20 suites designed for longer stays and families.
This hotel, signed under a franchise agreement with Gestion T3 Hoteles, will also feature a restaurant, meeting rooms, a fitness centre, and an outdoor swimming pool.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Europe Development vice president Willemijn Geels said: “We are thrilled to expand our presence in Spain with these four outstanding properties in key tourist and business destinations across the country.
“The addition of more than 500 rooms in Spain, alongside the recently announced 1,000 rooms in Portugal, will contribute a 10% increase in our room count across Iberia, emphasising our commitment to growth in the region.”
As of 31 March 2024, IHG operates 55 hotels across eight brands in Spain, namely Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo, InterContinental, Kimpton, Six Senses and voco.
