IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Adyar Gate Hotels to establish InterContinental Kodaikanal Resort, scheduled to open in 2028 in India.
This development is part of IHG’s strategic expansion of its luxury and lifestyle brands in leisure destinations throughout the country.

The opening of InterContinental Kodaikanal Resort will mark the brand’s introduction to the picturesque hill station and will be the sixth InterContinental property in India, joining existing and planned locations in Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Mumbai.
Upon completion, the resort will have 100 guest rooms, including cottages, and a suite of luxury amenities.
It will cater to both leisure and corporate guests, offering five dining options, a pool, fitness centre, spa, and two meeting spaces, including a ballroom for social and corporate events.

This announcement follows a recent agreement to launch the Holiday Inn Ujjain hotel in partnership with Peachery, which is also expected to open in 2028.
