IHG Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to open the second Kimpton hotel in Koh Samui, Thailand later this year.
Kimpton Koh Samui is a 138-room luxury boutique hotel located at Choengmon Beach. It marks the expansion of the Kimpton brand in South East Asia.

By GlobalDataThe new hotel will offer luxury pool villas with direct access to the beach, four distinctive restaurants and bars, a spa, a fitness centre and a Kids Club.
There is also a 124m2 multi-purpose meetings and events space.

The first property in Thailand, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, was launched in October last year. It has 362 rooms and suites, including 131 serviced residences.
The brand also has presence in Taipei and Japan with planned openings in Bali, Suzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nanjing, Sanya and Kuala Lumpur.
Earlier this month, IHG signed a conversion deal to open or refurbish three properties in Appi Kogen, Japan.
Kimpton brand will also expand to international markets including Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands.
