Global hospitality company IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to introduce its voco hotel brand in Malaysia in 2026.

The company has collaborated with Malaysian real estate developer Elica Equity to build the 321-room voco Kuching in Sarawak.

The hotel will be developed as part of a 12-storey mixed-use development and marks IHG’s return to Kuching after 16 years.

The voco Kuching is a redevelopment of the independent Century Hotel. It will be part of the company’s voco brand, which includes 77 properties worldwide and a further 80 in the pipeline.

Situated 15 minutes from the city centre and five minutes from Kuching International Airport, the voco Kuching will feature a swimming pool, an all-day dining café, a lounge, a fitness centre, and more than 2,400m² of meeting spaces.

Other amenities include a ballroom with a capacity for 1,300 people and a range of function room options.
