Kimpton, IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle brand, has unveiled plans for a new boutique luxury hotel and branded residences in Monterrey, Mexico.
Set to open in 2026, the property will be situated in Torre Rise, anticipated to be Latin America’s tallest tower.
The announcement underscores IHG’s ongoing expansion in Mexico and the branded residences sector.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Luxury & Lifestyle Americas senior vice-president and managing director Leanne Harwood said: “We are also especially excited to build upon our existing collaboration with Grupo Alora, working together to provide travellers with the inspired experiences and human hospitality for which Kimpton is celebrated globally.”
Owned by Grupo Alora and managed by Marca Hotel Solutions, Kimpton Monterrey is poised to offer 120 guest rooms and 60 private residences.
Known as Mexico’s second-largest economy and an international business hub, Monterrey offers a strategic location for Kimpton’s new property.

Guests will benefit from proximity to local attractions, including galleries, shopping centres, business headquarters, and medical facilities.
Additionally, both hotel guests and residents will have exclusive access to the skyscraper’s amenities such as a sky deck, a performance centre, an elevated park, and luxury retail options.
The new hotel will feature a wellness centre with an indoor pool, sauna, and massage treatment rooms, catering to guests’ relaxation and health needs.
Dining options include a full-service restaurant and a planned 16th-floor lobby lounge.

Kimpton Monterrey will also provide a substantial 1,244m² of space for meetings and social events, adding to its appeal for both leisure and business travellers.
In line with the Kimpton brand, the hotel will offer signature amenities such as a morning coffee and tea service, an evening social hour, and a comprehensive “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” programme.
