Hospitality and pub company The Inn Collection Group has expanded presence in the UK with acquisition of The Glenridding Hotel in Ullswater.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
The 38-room property marks the company’s first acquisition this year.
Located on the southern shore of Ullswater, The Glenridding Hotel boasts a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, and conference facilities.
The acquisition will not affect the hotel’s operation until the commencement of a refurbishment and remodelling project, which is slated to take place later this year.
The hotel marks The Inn Collection Group’s ninth property in Lake District and takes its total site count to 28.

“Exceptional locations are very much a group USP, and The Glenridding Hotel has this in spades. We look forward to building on the strong reputation this classic site enjoys and enhancing this with a careful refurbishment in line with our ‘Eat, Drink, Sleep and Explore’ concept and brand.”
Ward Hadaway corporate partner Imogen Holland offered legal advice and Neil Hart at Bradley Hall provided pre diligence in relation to the transaction.
Graham + Sibbald director Martin Davis handled the sale on behalf of Hassan Ali, the former owner.
The acquisition of The Glenridding Hotel comes after the group debuted in Wales with the acquisition of The Swallow Falls Hotel in the Snowdonia National Park in December last year.
In the same month, The Temperance Inn in Ambleside opened after the completion of a multi-million-pound refurbishment at the Cumbria site.
