InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has opened a new hotel, InterContinental Sofia, in Bulgaria.
This is the brand’s first hotel in Bulgaria and seventh in Eastern Europe.
InterContinental Sofia hotel has 194 rooms, including 27 club rooms and 37 suites.
The hotel’s design is inspired by the surrounding city and its history and features a statue of a girl blowing a dandelion in the lobby to signify hope and unity.
Its rooms have architectural influences of the 1960s as well as include a flat screen TV, couch and a large desk for business travellers.
Guests of the Club InterContinental rooms offer full access to the Club InterContinental Lounge, an exclusive area that caters to the both business and leisure travellers.

In addition, the hotel has round-the-clock business centre and gym.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts currently operates 194 hotels worldwide and is expected to open 63 additional units.
In Europe, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has 33 hotels and plans to open four new hotels over the next three to five years.
