Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has unveiled the name of its inaugural hotel in San Antonio, Texas, US. The Kimpton Santo is to debut in late 2024 and promises a blend of historic charm and contemporary luxury.
Given its title after San Antonio’s namesake, Saint Anthony, and the area’s rich history, the Kimpton Santo aims to provide a luxury lifestyle hotel experience. The 10-storey, 347-room property integrates 19th-century German-English schoolhouse buildings into its design, offering guests a fusion of vintage craftsmanship and modernist touches.
Leadership appointments confirmed
White Lodging, the owner and operator of the Kimpton Santo, has appointed Lynn Snyder as the property’s general manager and Jeremy Lander as its director of sales and marketing.
Snyder, a veteran with 15 years of experience in hospitality, brings a wealth of expertise to her role and Lander, a certified hotel sales leader, has more than 25 years experience in the industry.
Strategic location and unique features
Located at 423 S Alamo, the Kimpton Santo bridges the gap between the Downtown and Southtown areas, catering to both the business and arts communities.
The hotel features 347 guest rooms, including 16 suites and more than 13,000 square feet of event space. Amenities include eight schoolhouse guest suites, multiple contemporary fine dining options and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city.
