The Le Méridien Madison Hotel in Downtown DC, US, has joined Marriott Bonvoy’s Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts brand, after a $15m overhaul.

The renovation, executed by Parker-Torres Design, has transformed the lobby, communal areas, and guest rooms.

Owned by Crescent Real Estate and managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts, the hotel’s redesign pays tribute to the Golden Age of travel and Jackie Kennedy Onassis.

The hotel now features a colour scheme that mirrors the brick and terracotta roofs of federal buildings and the Tidal Basin.

The lobby has been redesigned to include high-impact arrival art, aligning with Le Méridien’s brand ethos.

Guest rooms have been upgraded with new flooring, wallpaper, ceiling finishes, light fixtures, furnishings, and artwork, enhancing the overall guest experience.

With the rebranding to Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, the hotel introduces new amenities.

Lady Madison, the hotel’s signature restaurant and cocktail lounge, now offers a refreshed menu. It also features a curated selection of rosé wines and small bites as part of the La Vie, Rosé + Petit Plates programme.

Le Méridien Madison is also a participant in the Marriott Bonvoy travel programme.

Le Méridien Madison general manager Hazel Hagans said: “Our team is thrilled to welcome guests to the new Le Méridien Madison, Washington, DC.

“This property embodies the spirit of our nation’s capital, blending modern glamour with rich historical charm. Our team is dedicated to delivering an exceptional guest experience, and we look forward to continuing to be a vibrant part of the community.”

This development comes on the heels of Marriott International‘s expansion of its Moxy brand, which saw the launch of its first property in North Carolina.
