The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts (Leela) has opened the Leela Ashtamudi, A Raviz Hotel, its second property in the Indian state of Kerala.
The hotel, located on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake, features 93 rooms that reflect the traditional aesthetics of Kerala.
Home to a host of accommodations, including rooms, suites and experiential houses, the hotel is claimed to blend the old architectural heritage and the new luxurious design.
It features two private plunge pool villas, two traditional experiential houses called Erattupetta and Anchal, an Ayurveda spa, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre with advanced equipment and outdoor venues for meetings and events.
Guests at the hotel can enjoy four dining venues: multicuisine restaurant Keraleeyam, PorticoCafé, a floating restaurant called Ranthal and an aqua-themed bar called Zikron.
Those who are looking for luxury can go for a private getaway with a tranquil backwater cruise on houseboat Mahayana.
