Hospitality brand Leva Hotels has announced its European debut with the acquisition of Best Western Hotel Strasser in Graz, Austria.
The Best Western Hotel Strasser will undergo rebranding as EKONO by Leva Hotel Strasser beginning next month, marking a milestone in the brand’s global expansion strategy.
The hotel offers guests access to the city’s historical and cultural landmarks. The 75-key property will also maintain uninterrupted service throughout the transition period, whilst retaining its three-star rating.
Guests can expect several soft service upgrades that are characteristic of Leva-managed hotels, including a new brand identity, an improved food and beverage concept, and a refreshed guest engagement experience.
Leva Hotels founder and CEO JS Anand said: “Graz is a city rich in history, culture, and forward-thinking energy — a perfect match for our first European property.
“EKONO by Leva Hotel Strasser offers a fresh, contemporary hotel experience that blends comfort with efficiency, tailored to both business travellers and leisure guests. It reflects our vision of offering quality hospitality in emerging markets across Europe, with a focus on comfort, service, and modern efficiency.”
This move arises from a joint endeavour involving Leva Hotels, the current owner Haris Jasarevic; legal counsel Rafael Gilkarov; and hospitality adviser Patrick Frankl of Frankl Consult Hotel Investment & Consulting.
Jasarevic said: “We are excited to partner with Leva Hotels and bring a new level of service and innovation to Graz. This rebranding marks a pivotal moment in the city and the hotel’s legacy, offering guests a modern, elevated experience that’s both accessible and authentic to Graz’s spirit.”
In line with the rebranding, all current hotel employees will retain their positions.
The introduction of EKONO By Leva Hotel Strasser is part of a broader plan for Leva Hotels to expand its presence in Europe, with additional properties expected to be announced across the continent later this year.
In 2019, Leva Hotels marked its entry into the market with the opening of its inaugural property, a four-star establishment in Dubai. The brand has since experienced expansion.
In June 2020, Leva Hotels entered a partnership with VACKMA for expansion in the US.
