Hospitality and management group Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced plans to open its third hotel in London in 2028.

The new Mandarin Oriental Bankside, situated on London’s South Bank, will be part of the Bankside Yards development, which is designed to reconnect the space between the Tate Modern and Blackfriars Station.

An international real estate consortium comprising Amcorp Properties Berhad, Native Land and Hotel Properties is developing the overall property.

The development will include a contemporary standalone building, which will feature 171 guestrooms along with 70 branded residences at Mandarin Oriental.

Mandarin Oriental Bankside will include a fitness centre, a 25m lap pool and four distinct culinary outlets on the first floor and the 19th floor of the building.

It will also boast dedicated event spaces, including adaptable function rooms, pre-function space, activity space and an outdoor terrace.
