Marriott International has announced the launch of its 500th hotel in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA), The Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, Adult All-Inclusive.
Approximately one-tenth of Marriott’s luxury portfolio is now located in CALA. Over the past three years, this portfolio expanded from 300 to 500 properties.
The Almare resort in Mexico represents the 62nd luxury property in the region for Marriott’s Luxury Group.
It offers 109 appointed suites with ocean views and private balconies, seven dining venues and bars, a spa, and an infinity pool.
The resort is Marriott’s 35th all-inclusive property since the company entered this segment in 2019. It will also participate in the Marriott Bonvoy travel programme, allowing members to earn and redeem points.
Marriott International CALA president Brian King said: “The debut of Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, Adult All-Inclusive as our 500th property in CALA marks a decisive moment in our expansion, as it demonstrates our continuing commitment to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of discerning travellers to the Caribbean and Latin America.
