Marriott International has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Financial District Development & Management Company (KAFD DMC) to launch the first W Hotel in Riyadh.
Scheduled to open in 2025, W Riyadh will cater to both business and leisure travellers seeking a luxurious urban escape within the Saudi capital.
The new hotel will offer 210 rooms and suites, seven restaurants, retail spaces and extensive event and meeting facilities.
Signature W features such as the Living Room, the WET Deck®, the AWAY® Spa and the FIT® fitness centre are also planned for the property.
Guests can expect the brand’s renowned “Whatever/Whenever” service, ensuring a truly personalised experience.
“In line with the strategic framework of Vision 2030, Riyadh is fast becoming a key regional metropolis attracting global leisure and business travellers alike,” said Chadi Hauch, regional vice-president for lodging development, Middle East, Marriott International, in a statement.

The addition of W Riyadh aligns with KAFD’s vision to solidify its position as a premier lifestyle destination.

W Riyadh will be situated within the King Abdullah Financial District, a 20-minute drive from Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport.
KAFD holds the distinction of being the world’s largest LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-certified mixed-use business district.
Spanning more than 1.6 million square metres, it offers office spaces, luxury residences, hotels, retail outlets, entertainment venues and cultural attractions, all designed to revolutionise how urban communities function.
