Marriott International has signed agreement with FibraHotel, Fibra Danhos and Beyond Ventures to launch a Ritz-Carlton property in Cancun, Punta Nizuc of Mexico.
This deal will bring back The Ritz-Carlton brand to Cancun after its exit in late 2022.
The project, expected to open in 2027, will feature a 131-key luxury hotel and 126 branded residences.
The hotel will be developed and owned via a joint venture between FibraHotel and Fibra Danhos. To be located in a LEED-certified building, the 126 branded residences will be developed by Beyond Ventures.
This project will include an oceanfront pool complex, a spa, six gourmet restaurants, and residential amenities, all serviced by The Ritz-Carlton.
The design of the project has been entrusted to the architectural firms of Lissoni and Partners and Cherem Arquitectos.

In September 2024, The Ritz-Carlton brand opened a luxury hotel in Morocco, The Ritz-Carlton Rabat, Dar Es Salam.
Located within 440 hectares of forest and gardens, the hotel features three golf courses with 45 holes. It has 100 guest rooms and 17 suites, each accompanied with a private terrace.
