Accor’s midscale hotel chain Mercure has opened the Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort in Palanga, Lithuania, after undergoing a major renovation.
This is the brand’s third property in the country and further expands Accor’s portfolio in Lithuania, which includes six hotels across destinations such as Vilnius, Klaipeda, Kaunas, and Marijampole.
The 98-room resort features Palanga’s “largest” hotel conference centre, with six rooms adaptable for various events, including business meetings and conferences for up to 500 attendees.
It also offers a range of dining options, including a restaurant with seating capacity for up to 165 guests, a lobby bar, an outdoor terrace, and a pool bar.
Guests can also relax at the on-site Golden Spa, which provides more than 100 treatments, including massages and Thai and Ayurvedic therapies.
Additional leisure facilities include an 18m outdoor summer pool, a kids’ play area, a fitness centre, two outdoor tennis courts, a basketball court, and rental bicycles.
The hotel also provides parking with electric vehicle charging stations and an airport transfer service.
Situated near Palanga’s city centre and 5km from the international airport, it provides access for both local and international visitors.
Accor development premium, midscale, and economy brands eastern Europe, Italy, and Greece vice president Frank Reul said: “The introduction of Mercure Palanga Vanagupe Resort marks a significant milestone in our ambition to expand and elevate the hospitality landscape in the Baltic region.
“This latest addition not only underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, but it also enables us to showcase Palanga’s growing appeal as a sought-after destination for both leisure and business travellers.”
