Hospitality cloud services provider Mews has expanded its Mews Hospitality Cloud offerings by adding Mews Point-of-Sale (POS) with embedded Mews Payments.
This move is set to deliver operational time savings and seamless guest experiences across the hotel sector.
The solution, now available in 16 countries, allows for the digital ordering of food and beverage (F&B) to be processed on the same platform used for other guest transactions.
This includes upgrades and bill settlement.
Mews chief product and technology officer Josef Starýchfojtů said: “By harnessing the power of embedded payments, hoteliers will feel real benefits across their business.
“Consolidated payment functionalities mean faster, more secure operations, with cumulative time savings, richer guest data and an increase in guest satisfaction.”

By GlobalDataMercure Roeselare, a four-star hotel in Belgium, is said to be already experiencing the advantages of Mews’ embedded payments within their F&B services.
Mercure Roeselare general manager Damien Janssens: “Having all payments in one basket that we can check daily in Mews is crucial for our cash flow. It simplifies the reporting process for both myself and our accounting team.”
The integration offers a unified fee structure across all property management system (PMS) and POS transactions, as well as consolidated payouts.
The embedded Mews POS system also enables comprehensive payment reporting directly within Mews Operations, eliminating the need for manual data import or export.
This allows hotels to work with a single provider for all their payment processing needs, leading to time savings.
Moreover, the integration removes the necessity for additional ‘know your customer’ checks, which further expedites the implementation process.
The latest announcement follows the partnership between the company and Ringhotels, which aims to advance digital transformation in the German hotel sector.
