Mews, a hospitality cloud services provider, has completed the deployment of its property management system (PMS) across Strawberry Hotels’ entire portfolio.
This technology rollout has equipped 9,000 employees across nearly 230 hotels in the Nordic region under a unified and efficient system to manage hotel operations.
Strawberry Hotels, a hotel group in the Nordic region, transitioned to Mews’ PMS to leverage its flexibility, scalability, and robust security features.
The group’s diverse brands, including Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel, Clarion Collection Hotel, and nearly 50 independent hotels, are now all operating on the Mews platform.
Strawberry executive vice president Eirik Bogsnes said: “This transformation was integral in our continual push for innovation, and we’re delighted that our entire hotel portfolio is now powered by Mews.
“The speed at which our teams have adapted to the new software is a testament to its ease of use, and it’s already having a big impact across operations and guest experiences.”

By GlobalDataSince the initial migration of its first property to Mews, Strawberry Hotels has processed more than 2.5 million reservations.
The integration of Mews has also introduced self-service check-in options, with one in three properties utilising Mews Kiosks.
These kiosks are claimed to have reduced the average check-in time for guests to just two-and-a-half minutes per session.
The average Strawberry hotel now benefits from 15 active integrations, showcasing the ease of connectivity and reliability provided by Mews.
Strawberry Hotels has also taken advantage of Mews Marketplace and the Mews Open API to establish custom connections with several bespoke tools, further enhancing its operational capabilities.
Strawberry’s technology senior vice president Kari Anna Fiskvik said: “Implementing Mews across over 200 properties was a huge operation, as each hotel also uses a number of integrations that had to be seamlessly migrated.
“We have updated our tech ecosystem and rebuilt over 20 different systems during this transformation to make full use of Mews’ marketplace. All the teams involved did an outstanding job during the changeover, ensuring our high standard of hotel operations was maintained.”
Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “In the last two years, we’ve got to know the Strawberry team really well, and their openness to new ways of working and commitment to delivering remarkable guest experiences is a source of inspiration.
“I’m delighted that every hotel is now powered by Mews. An exciting future lies ahead.”
The initial announcement of Mews’ deployment at Strawberry Hotels was made in December last year.
Last month, Mews acquired the German on-premises PMS provider HS3 Hotelsoftware.
