Hospitality group Minor Hotels has unveiled plans to rebrand Peace Resort Samui as NH Collection Samui, marking the upscale brand’s debut in Thailand.

The property will be introduced to the Thai market on 1 January 2025 after completing an upgrade programme.

Nestled on the northern shore of Koh Samui, the resort features 122 rooms, including deluxe accommodations, bungalows, and villas, with select options offering private swimming pools and direct beach access.

The resort also houses an all-day-dining restaurant, a bar, and the Indigo Lounge for tea and cakes.

Guests seeking a more intimate dining experience can opt for a private in-villa BBQ.

NH Collection Samui will provide a range of recreational facilities, including a fitness centre, water sports centre, and dedicated areas for children and teenagers.

The resort also offers flexible meeting and event spaces and a retail shop.

Strategically located near Fisherman’s Village, the property is 15-20 minutes’ drive from Samui Airport.

Nathon Pier, which links Koh Samui to Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Phangan and other destinations, is a 25-minute ride from the property.

NH Collection Samui marks Minor Hotels’ fifth property on the island and is one of the more than 20 properties it has in Thailand.

Minor Hotels Bangkok, Samui, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai operations vice-president Mark O’Sullivan said: “We are thrilled to partner with the esteemed Pupaiboon family to bring the first NH Collection hotel to Thailand as part of the brand’s expansion outside of Europe and Americas.

“Our joint vision for the beloved resort includes potential further development down the line, including stand-alone villas or branded residential units for sale to meet a growing demand for upscale holiday homes and investment properties. I look forward to welcoming guests to this exceptional addition to our collection of resorts in Thailand.”
