Mövenpick Hotel Amman in Jordan has earned its first Green Globe certification, recognising its commitment to sustainability.

The hotel’s management has emphasised energy and water efficiency, incorporating advanced systems to optimise electricity usage and reduce consumption.

The luxury 14-floor hotel has implemented initiatives to decrease energy consumption such as upgrading to LED lighting and installing motion sensors throughout the property.

Smart thermostats are used to maintain comfortable temperatures and outdoor lighting is controlled by photocells to further conserve energy.

Water conservation has also been a key focus for Mövenpick Hotel Amman. The hotel has adopted rainwater harvesting and installed water-saving fixtures to significantly reduce water usage.

Additionally, an on-site organic garden supplies fresh produce to the hotel’s kitchens while a drip irrigation system utilises harvested rainwater for the garden.
