Accor’s Mövenpick Hotels brand has added a new premium high-rise hotel to its portfolio, which aims to transform the hospitality landscape in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Located next to the Centaurus Mall, the Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad hotel features 380 rooms and suites, including a lavish Presidential Suite.

Guests have access to a fitness centre, a spa with eight treatment rooms, seven dining options, and the city’s inaugural helipad.

The hotel’s grand opening was graced by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Accor Middle East Premium Midscale and Economy Operations senior vice-president Philip Jones.

Jones said: “The unveiling of Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad marks a significant milestone in our commitment to redefining hospitality in Pakistan. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the city, this exceptional property combines a strategic location with world-class amenities, setting a new benchmark for the region’s hospitality landscape.”

Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus Islamabad is set to become a key venue for MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions] events, featuring two grand ballrooms with a capacity of up to 700 guests and eight meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology.

The hotel is committed to sustainability, having banned single-use plastics and adopted solar energy solutions.

The company noted that water conservation and waste reduction programmes are also in place to promote sustainable resource management.
