Courtyard by Marriott has made its Chilean debut with the opening of a new hotel in Las Condes, Santiago, which is adjacent to its existing 280-room Santiago Marriott.

All 205 rooms are designed to help guests stay connected, productive and comfortable, the company said.

Every room features a functional workspace, in-room high-speed internet, a separate seating area, as well as spacious bathrooms.

The property also includes suites, a business lobby, five meeting rooms with 278.71m² of meeting space, a fitness centre, Bistro Restaurant & Bar and a rooftop pool that provides a panoramic view of Las Condes.

"Chile’s growing middle class and booming economy have generated tremendous demand for mid-priced hotel properties."

The hotel is located in the business district of the city, which provides easy access to the renowned Andes Mountains, Mall Parque Arauco and Araucano Park, as well as several restaurants, bars and shops.

Marriott International president of the Caribbean and Latin America Tim Sheldon said: "Chile’s growing middle class and booming economy have generated tremendous demand for mid-priced hotel properties.

"Courtyard understands today’s travellers’ needs and provides an upscale experience and space to blend work and fun.

"Its contemporary design and use of innovative technology has led to its continuous global growth and popularity, especially here in Latin America."

Marriott currently has Santiago Marriott Hotel, a 182-room Renaissance Santiago Hotel and 205-room The Ritz-Carlton in Chile.
