Hilton Worldwide has opened the Hilton Suites Makkah First Tower in Saudi Arabia.

The 480-room luxury hotel, which is split into two towers, is near to Jeddah International Airport, as well as to holy sites and popular Makkah attractions such as Masjid al-Haram, Kaaba, ZamZam Well, Jabal al-Nour, Makkah Museum and Makkah Mall.

The hotel has been designed to include amenities that are suitable for both business and religious guests, according to Hilton.

Guest rooms feature a unique colour scheme based on the five times of prayers throughout the day (sunrise, noon, late afternoon, sunset and night-time), in addition to generous work areas and WiFi access.

The hotel also features five dining outlets – Al-Khalil café, Al-Falak lounge, Al-Kawkab lounge, The Orchid Asian Restaurant and Al-Qandeel All Day Dining Restaurant – along with two flexible meeting spaces and the latest A/V equipment.

Additionally, the hotel comprises amenities such as a 24hr fitness centre, 24hr business centre, 24hr car parking and an in-house clinic for instant medical care.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts global head Rob Palleschi said, "Overlooking the Grand Holy Masjid in the centre of Makkah, the Jabal Omar development – one of the largest hotel developments in the world – meets the growing demand for a wider variety of accommodations from the rising number of travellers visiting Saudi Arabia every year."
