InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) plans to expand its portfolio in Turkey with the launch of three new Holiday Inn branded hotels in the region.
The three hotels are Holiday Inn Ankara Çukurambar, Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay and Holiday Inn Istanbul Kadikoy.
Holiday Inn Ankara Çukurambar, scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2014, will have 140 rooms and will be operated under a franchise agreement with Aska Otomotiv ve Petrol Urunleri Tic.
The new property, representing the first IHG branded hotel in the region, will feature a Holiday Inn Open Lobby as well as a 660m² banquet room, multiple meeting rooms, a spa, gym, bar and restaurant.

Slated to open in 2014, the Holiday Inn Istanbul Kadikoy will be a newly constructed building with 127 rooms including four suites, a mini gym, bar and restaurant.

By GlobalDataThe new hotel, which will be owned and operated by Defne Otelcilik ve Turizm under a franchisee deal, is located within the business area of Kadikoy and in close proximity to bars, universities, hospitals and the 55,000-seat Fenerbahçe FC Stadium.
Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay is due to open in 2016 under a franchise agreement with Troyka Turizm Otelcilik ve Insaat.
The 140-room hotel will be located in the planned business district of Tuzla on the Asian side of Istanbul and will feature Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby along with a 180° sea view.
Troyka Turizm Otelcilik ve Insaat owner Kemal Akbasoglu said the company sees the hotel as the first step towards a lasting collaboration with IHG.
"Holiday Inn Istanbul Tuzla Bay is located close to the sea and is set to meet the region’s growing business demands," Akbasoglu added.

Currently, the company operates 282 Holiday Inn hotels in Europe and has an additional 35 properties in the pipeline that are due to open within the next three to five years.
