Homesign Network has selected New World Hotels & Resorts to manage New World Kota Kinabalu Hotel in Sabah, Malaysia, due to open in 2018.
The hotel is an integral part of Skycity, which is a multi-purpose development including grade-A offices, shopping mall and two towers of serviced suites.
Situated in Karamunsing near the Kota Kinabalu city centre, the hotel is near to the ten surrounding golf courses and Jesselton Pier that connects to all the outlying islands, and is suitable for both business and leisure travellers.
Occupying the top 16 floors of the complex tower, the property offers views of Kota Kinabalu city, the South China Sea and Mount Kinabalu.
Featuring 400 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will feature a residence club living room, two restaurants, a lobby bar and a sky bar. The property will also include 3,883ft² of meeting facilities, sky pool, spa and gym.
New World Hotels & Resorts parent company Rosewood Hotel Group CEO Sonia Cheng said: "Kota Kinabalu’s vibrancy and natural charm, as well as its easy accessibility from the key feeder markets of mainlandChina and Hong Kong, will set up New World Kota Kinabalu Hotel for success."
