US-based Rubell Hotels has announced that it has completed its restoration of the Lord Baltimore Hotel, which it acquired in March 2013.
Built in 1928, the 23-storey Lord Baltimore Hotel has 440 guest rooms and suites, more than 20,000ft² of event space, several dining and lounging spaces, and one of the city’s only rooftop event spaces.
The Lord Baltimore Hotel’s new look includes a large gold Murano glass chandelier, white columns and intimate groupings of mid-century inspired lounge seating. Interior designer Scott Sanders spearheaded the design, which typifies his ‘New American Style’.
Rubell Hotels said that complimentary high-speed internet is available throughout the hotel, as are 50in high-definition televisions with 60 complimentary HD channels.
The LB Tavern, just off of the lobby, is a communal gathering space where guests can have cocktails in a library-like setting. Seven large, multi-coloured Candida Hofer photographs of libraries of the world are featured throughout this space.
The Lord Baltimore Hotel’s 440 guest rooms and suites feature dark wood tones with clean lines, contemporary art, velvet drapes and plush mattresses. Every guest room includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, and digital safe and bedside charging station.
