US hotel occupancy rose by 4.1% to stand at 59.4% and its average daily rate (ADR) increased by 3.7% to $102.11 in year-on-year comparisons for the week ending 19 November 2011, according to industry research agency STR.
The report revealed that revenue per available room (revPAR) grew by 7.9% to $60.63.
Seattle, Washington, reported the largest occupancy increase of 18.8% to 74%, while Orlando, Florida, recorded a growth of 12.4% to 70.1%.
Occupancy in Houston, Texas, rose by 11.7% to 66.8%.
Occupancy in New Orleans, Louisiana, fell by 21.9% to 64.1%, while its average revPAR decreased by 30.8% to $78.46 and ADR fell 11.3% to $122.45.
Miami-Hialeah, Florida, reported the largest ADR increase, jumping 15.3% to $157.04, followed by Seattle with a 12% increase to $121.33.
