Wanda Hotels & Resorts has opened the first hotel under its luxury Wanda Reign hotel brand, the Wanda Reign Wuhan, in China.
Situated in Wuhan’s East Lake Scenic Area, the property is close to shopping streets, a Wanda Plaza, a Madame Tussaud’s Museum, and a soon to be completed Han Show Theatre and Film Technology Park.
Wanda Reign Wuhan has 413 rooms and suites featuring an interactive TV, electronic cats’ eyes, smart lighting systems and automatic toilets.
Wanda Reign Wuhan general manager Stefan Huemer said that Wuhan is one of China’s most open cities and also the first choice for foreign investors.
"As an excellent tourism city, Wuhan has a lot of historic sites and scenic spots," said Huemer.
"With those advantages, Wanda Reign Wuhan has a great opportunity in this amazing city, and my team and I will strive to deliver a unique and most delightful experience to both travellers and the people of Wuhan," he added.

Spread over an floor area of 70,000m², the hotel’s interior features marble and high-end crystal, while the hotel lobby features a large embossed mural sculpted with white marble, Chinese jade and gold threading and hung on a 10m high and 60m long wall space.
According to the hospitality group, the Wanda Reign is the first hotel to use Hermes toiletries.
Dining facilities at the hotel comprise three restaurants: an international buffet and a la carte menu offered at Cafe Reign, the RIVER DRUNK Huaiyang Restaurant serving Huaiyang cuisine combined with the essence of Cantonese and local dishes, and the HE Japanese Restaurant serving both Japanese and French cuisines.
The property also has a 1,500m² pillar-less grand ballroom and seven function rooms equipped with simultaneous interpretation systems, video conference systems and digital video conference systems.
Wanda Hotels & Resorts sales and marketing vice president Ilja Poepper said the company’s vision is to be a leading global luxury hotel management group in China.
"As the premier luxury brand hotel in China, the Wanda Reign Wuhan will elevate the hospitality of Wuhan to a higher level," Poepper added.
Wanda Hotels & Resorts has built and managed 54 five-star hotels, and plans to increase this number to 100 hotels by 2015.
