Global hospitality group Minor Hotels has revealed plans to launch its NH Collection brand on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 156-key NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments is set to open in early 2028. Its location offers quick access to Dubai International Airport and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.

The property is owned by RRS International Development, a real estate developer with more than 20 years of experience in the UAE’s luxury real estate market.

The hotel will have 120 beach-facing guest rooms and suites, along with 36 branded serviced apartments.

Guests will have access to a variety of facilities, including four dining venues, a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a children’s club and games room, retail shopping, and a co-working space.

Minor Hotels CEO Dillip Rajakarier said: “We are excited to announce the continued expansion of our NH Collection brand, both within the Middle East region and also as part of the brand’s overall growth beyond its traditional areas of operation in Europe and the Americas.

“RRS International Development have a deep understanding of the nuances of real estate within the region and we look forward to working with them as valued partners during the development of this exciting new property.”

RRS is focused on Ras Al Khaimah’s real estate sector and, in partnership with Minor Hotels, plans to develop the new NH Collection property. A key upcoming project includes the UAE’s first integrated resort.

RRS International Development spokesperson Sanjay Narayandas Dhawan said: “We are thrilled to be part of the Minor Hotels family and to align with the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and look forward to contributing to the growth and prestige of this incredible destination.”

The latest venture, NH Collection Ras Al Khaimah Al Marjan Island Hotel & Apartments, is in line with Minor Hotels’ strategy of growing its portfolio through mixed-use properties that include a residential component.

The group’s existing operations in the region include the Anantara in Mina Al Arab, which opened in January 2024.

Minor Hotels currently manages 17 properties in the UAE under four of its brands. The NH Collection brand notably made its UAE debut in February 2023, marking its foray outside Europe and the Americas.
