Multinational hotel operator NH Hotel has marked its debut in Denmark with the opening of its first five-star hotel in Copenhagen.
NH Collection Copenhagen is located in the district of Christianshavn, which offers several maritime, historical and creative attractions. It is expected to serve 150,000 guests a year.
Swedish design firm Krook & Tjader designed the hotel’s interior and Spanish interior and architecture studio TBC carried out the finishing touches.
ATP Ejendomme, Arkitema Architects and Henning Larsen Architects fully renovated and redeveloped the building’s 1962 modernist facade by architect Palle Suenson.
The hotel has a total of 394 rooms and suites, as well as seven rooms that can host small-to-large-scale meetings of up to 252 persons.
It also boasts fitness facilities and relaxation room, two restaurants, and lounge area.

By GlobalDataIn a statement, the group said: “You can enjoy breakfast while slowly waking up with the rest of the city. In the evening, you can dine in the hotel restaurant Tablafina, which combines the well-known Spanish tapas with local seasonal ingredients.”
Tablafina also features a bar that caters selected wines.
The group’s upper-upscale brand, NH Collection, has hotels located in the main capital cities of Europe and Latin America.
In Europe and America, the group operates more than 350 hotels. The company is majority-owned by Bangkok-based operator Minor Hotels.
NH Hotel is set to debut in the Middle East later this month with the launch of NH Dubai The Palm.
