Novotel, a brand within the Accor hospitality group, has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a new property in New Delhi.

The new 124-room establishment is positioned near business districts, shopping areas, and cultural attractions.

Accor Asia Premium, Midscale, and Economy chief operating officer Garth Simmons said: “The opening of Novotel New Delhi City Centre marks another significant step in Accor’s expansion in India.

“This hotel underscores our commitment to offering world-class amenities and sustainable practices, delivering exceptional experiences for both business and leisure travellers.”

The hotel features more than 10,000ft² of versatile event spaces, a variety of dining options, and several wellness amenities, including the In Balance by Novotel fitness centre.

Novotel New Delhi City Centre general manager Saumitra Chaturvedi said: “Novotel New Delhi City Centre reflects Novotel’s ethos of balanced living, offering contemporary design, lively dining, and versatile spaces.

“We are committed to creating meaningful guest experiences that seamlessly balance modern convenience with New Delhi’s dynamic culture.”

The Novotel New Delhi City Centre hotel is designed with sustainability in mind, reflecting Accor’s commitment to environmental goals.

In a move to support environmental conservation, Novotel entered a three-year partnership with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) last year, focusing on ocean protection and restoration.

The brand’s ‘Positive Impact Plan’ aligns with the United Nations’ ocean-related objectives, addressing marine pollution, sustainable fishing, and ocean health research.

Novotel operates more than 590 hotels across over 60 countries worldwide, with 170 properties under development.

In December 2024, Accor announced the signing of Novotel Agra Fatehabad Road, marking the brand’s entry into Agra, India. The upcoming 275-room hotel is expected to open in 2029, catering to both leisure and business travellers.
