Hyatt Hotels has partnered with Interlink and Vivo Beach Club to introduce its Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand in Puerto Rico next year.
The former Verdanza hotel is currently undergoing a $25m enhancement project and will join the Hyatt portfolio as Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde.
The project includes renovating guest rooms, suites, and public areas to reflect Puerto Rico’s natural beauty. The design will incorporate elements of the island’s land and sea.
Located near Isla Verde Beach, Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde will comprise 223 guest rooms.
The hotel will feature a social communal space, a signature restaurant and bar, an open-air beer garden, a coffee shop with local offerings, and a modern fitness centre.
More than 16,000ft² of meeting space, a resort-style pool deck, and a restaurant and pool bar are also part of the amenities.
