Global hotel developer and operator Katara Hospitality has revealed plans to perform a complete renovation of Doha Marriott Hotel in Qatar.
Doha Marriott Hotel will undergo a full property revamp for the first time since its opening in 1973.
The hotel operator has selected Qatari-based construction services company UrbaCon Trading & Contracting as the contractor.
As part of the renovation programme, Doha Marriott Hotel will see improvements being delivered to its guest rooms, public areas, recreation facilities, conference halls and meetings space.
The enhancements will also involve upgraded food and beverages offerings, development of the project entrance road and a port coacher.
In addition, a tower for visual connectivity between the two towers, and a new family pool with a dedicated zone for kids activities will be added. The original design will, however, be maintained.
