Club Wyndham South Pacific has commenced renovation work at Ramada Marcoola Beach, Queensland, Australia.

The approximately $2m project includes a complete makeover of 24 holiday apartments and hotel rooms, infusing them with a “Hamptons-style” aesthetic.

It aims to create a coastal theme throughout the apartments, with vinyl timber flooring in common areas, dark blue carpets in bedrooms, light blue walls, and new balcony settings.

The refurbishment also serves as a tribute to the resort’s history, with the original Ramada Marcoola Beach tower, named Surfair, completed in the 1960s.

Located on Marcoola Beach, the resort offers a 60m-long outdoor lagoon pool, children’s wading pool, day spa, gym, restaurant, bar, and multiple rooms for functions and events.

Club Wyndham South Pacific’s 54 resorts span Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Hawaii, and Europe.

Developed by Travel + Leisure, the club has nearly 60,000 members, who have access to complimentary activities and the free hire of sports equipment.

At Ramada Marcoola Beach, this includes the use of push bikes, e-bikes, surfboards, and boogie boards at no additional cost.

Travel + Leisure senior vice president Warren Cullum said: “We are thrilled to announce a refurbishment for our club apartments that both honours the property’s place in Sunshine Coast history while providing an innovative new experience for our members and guests.

“Club Wyndham South Pacific commits to updating its apartments under a multi-year cycle and members are excited about seeing their club apartments refreshed at this popular location. In line with our sustainability commitments, we are pleased to offer our quality used furniture to a worthwhile local cause, Lifeline Maroochydore.”
